The 2016 New Paris AppleFest A HUGE SUCCESS!...THANKS!

Wow… this year’s AppleFest is one for the history books!  We had great weather and a wonderful turnout for our annual festival.

I hope that all of you enjoyed the weekend and were able to come up and sample the food, entertainment and family fun!   We had great music and entertainment including DJ Bill Floyd.  We had things to do for kids and families including bounce houses/ inflatables along with a wonderful petting zoo.  And who can forget The Bug Guy!!

This year the parade, thanks to David Wesler, was very well received.  The AppleFest committee teamed up with the high school and was able to give the many school groups and organizations an opportunity to be involved with the festival and earn money for their group. Thanks, also, to the NP Kiwanis Club for a very successful car show this year.

I want to thank all of the volunteers that worked on the committee to plan this enjoyable festival.  Thank you to Colin Gatland, Dale Hall, David Wesler, Doris Bottoms, Jeff Ginter, Jeff Parker, Kathy Smallwood, Keith Kelley, Linda Ray, Roger Smith and Susan Langley.  We also can’t forget Shane VanZant.  He and his crew from Miami Valley CTC were instrumental in making the weekend successful.

Also, thanks to all of our community sponsors.  They were wonderful and very generous to our village festival this year.

We are already talking about next year and the Village Bicentennial.  Planning will begin in the near future.  If anyone has any ideas or is interested in working with the committee we’d be more than happy to hear from you!

Thank you, Lori Gatland, Chairman
