Your Community Publication

Your New Paris Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB has taken on the job of bringing you, the citizens of New Paris and Jefferson Township the “New Paris Communicator”. We hope that you will embrace this publication and use it to find out about the goings on in New Paris as well as making it a place to announce events, happenings, newsworthy articles and generally show everyone what a great place we live in.  We will have a section for village related news, church related news, a community calendar of upcoming events and a section with some historical New Paris tidbits from the past. Add to that a section dedicated to the rest of Preble County and even Richmond as a lot of us travel throughout the county and across the border for entertainment and relaxation. If you have an upcoming birthday or Anniversary, or just want to send a kind word or two to someone in the area, you will be able to do so via this publication. You can fill out and submit your story, event classified or advertisement via this website. You can e-mail a  personal dedication for someone (Tribute, Anniversary, Birthday, Etc.) at no cost.  We will have paid advertising space available for businesses and rates can be quoted for ad sizes from a business card, quarter, half and full page.  We look forward to bringing you the News!

The 2015 New Paris AppleFest Almost Here!

AppleFest 2015, the 21st AppleFest is now in the past and your Chamber/CVB is already talking about next year’s event. By and large it went very well and we had some great crowds on all three days. The vendor reports were quite positive and we had many pre-register for next year. Talk about additional food vendors with different menu items for next year should add some great additional choices. The pie eating contest was a huge success, thank you to LCNB National Bank for sponsoring and handling that event. The Punt, Pass & Kick as well as the Corn Hole Tourney were also well received. The entertainment tent was once again a huge hit and thanks to DJ Bill Floyd for all his efforts and great music that kept the AppleFest rockin’. All our music acts on all three days did a great job and drew a very nice crowd. The beer garden and the glow in the dark AppleFest beer mugs was very successful. Thanks to Bonbright Distributors for setting us up with not only great beers, but those very nice sponsor banners. This year we had a Sponsors Reception on Thursday evening. We had received over $6,000 in sponsorship money from many local businesses. A full list can be seen on our AppleFest website . The  reception was a way to say thanks to our sponsors that helped to make AppleFest a success by their continued monetary support. The event was catered by Southern Comfort Bar & Grill and we thank them for the great food.

The NP Chamber/CVB Board would also like to recognize Andrea Coffey for all of her dedication as the Very Best AppleFest Chairperson. Her positive outlook and laser focus on making our AppleFest happen so well is great ly appreciated.

Wanda Melody put on a very nice parade and we appreciate all her efforts to make it happen. Once again the  New Paris Kiwanis Club put on a great classic car show. Whitey pours out his heart and soul into this each year and the fruits of his labor are evident. We had 88 cars this year, down a bit from last year due to the weather Saturday morning. But the cars that participated were simply top shelf in every way. Besides the DJ we also had a couple of musical acts playing down by the NP Antique Mall which were very good. If you missed them you missed a great time. We appreciated all the great comments from the attendees & vendors of the AppleFEst and hope to have an even better one for you next September.
